Description

A Country Prints production sample retained as a print record. This placemat is part of a short-lived c.1959 collection titled “Craft Horizons”, a decidedly modern departure from Wert’s typical Americana themes. A placemat with a three-color silkscreen print on loose-weave natural linen depicting four rows of twenty-one squares. The squares appear as solid colors, some with dots or squiggles, and others split in geometric configurations of two and three volumes. Edges are straight stitched and fringed.
