Description

A three-color silkscreen overglaze print on a white glazed tile blank depicting tools necessary for the harvesting of wheat and the baking and serving of bread, bordered at top and bottom with the phrase from the Lord’s Prayer, “Give us this day, Our daily bread”. This tile appears in the brochures “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”, c.1962 and c.1966; see images. It was produced in red and blue colorways. A matching towel/wallhanging and apron were also available; see images. These items were available singly or in matched gift sets.
