Description

A three-color silkscreen print on natural linen. Illustration depicts tools and ingredients necessary for making bread, along with multiple examples of the finished product. The foundation of the composition is the first line of the Lord’s Prayer, “Give us this day our daily bread”, a recurrent theme in Wert’s designs, appearing on placemats, table squares, table runners and tablecloths. Top edge is hemmed to accept the apron tie. The tie is wide, blue cotton twill tape. Left and right edges are hemmed. Lower edge is a selvedge. A matching towel/wallhanging and tile were also available; see images. These items were offered in red or blue colorways.
