Description

A five-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting six roosters and hens in various poses surrounded by a pink border with black polka dots. The bodies of the birds are superimposed with Wert’s interpretation of calico prints in lieu of feathers. This print appears in the c.1955 brochure “Country Prints in Frames”; see images. This example is a sales sample from Country Prints’ independent west coast sales representative Ruth Gauss Flynn.
