Placemat: Coffee Time 139, Browns and Black on NaturalDescription
A Country Prints production sample retained as a print record.
A three-color silkscreen print on heavy textured natural linen depicting thirteen early American coffee pots in silhouette, arranged as an all-over collage.
The pattern name, “Coffee Time”, is an homage to Country Prints’ coffee time tradition. Each afternoon, it was a time for the staff to take a break together and enjoy each other’s company for a few minutes before returning to work.
This placemat is described in the Spring 1958 Country Prints price list, “139 Coffee Time — All-over pattern, Browns & Black on natural.”
Edges are straight stitched and fringed.Made/Created
