Napkin, Cocktail: Holiday 385Description
A set of Christmas themed cocktail napkins featuring four designs. The prints required six screens, producing eight colors on off-white linen. The four designs are:
1. Early stringed and woodwind instruments set against a brick fireplace along with holiday greens.
2. A woman decorating for the holidays as a little girl holds a lute and a gingerbread reindeer.
3. Another exploration of “Christmas Kitchen”, featuring baked goods, cooking implements and holiday decorations set against a cooking fireplace with an oven, and holiday greens.
4. A reference to the “Twelve Days of Christmas”, with a woman kneeling while churning butter and reaching into an espaliered pear tree to hold a partridge.
This set is listed on the Christmas 1960 Country Prints price list. The list states, “Four designs, as in the greetings [Gift Greetings]. One folder and Christmas Mailing envelope. 3 of each design to a doz.”
