Print: Deerfield Houses, Dwight-Barnard House 912-4Description
A silkscreen print on linen depicting the Dwight-Barnard House at Old Deerfield Village, a historic site in Massachusetts, now known at Historic Deerfield. The Dwight-Barnard House was the subject of two separate prints by Wert; see images. It is now known as the Dwight House; see web link.
Likely first produced in the late 1950’s, this print was listed singly on a 1958 Country Prints packing slip. It appears as one of a pair with the John Wilson House on the January 1960 Country Prints price list in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames, and as “Deerfield Houses 912-7 Pair” in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”; see images.Made/Created
