Description

A strike-off for an unused design for the Motif Gourmet towel Cheese 284 in turquoise. This design is extremely text-dense and obscures the imagery of cheeses and cooking implements beyond the text. It may have been rejected for this reason. The final production design has far less text and the imagery is readily visible; see image below. The Motif Gourmet collection debuted in 1965 for the 1966 retail year.
