Description

A five-color silkscreen print on natural linen depicting thirty-three forms of early American woodware, from Shaker boxes to spoons to rolling pins and a butter churn. The composition is bordered with Wert’s interpretation of a calico print pattern of five-pointed stars within circles and small crosses in black on a field of brown. This print was produced in at least two colorways, brown and blue. This example is in brown; see images. This example has edges bound in black tape like other known Country Prints sales samples.
