A four-color silkscreen print on linen depicting fruiting trees, a country couple, farm buildings, birds and the Japanese proverb, “In the hum of the market there is money but under the cherry tree there is rest”.
This wallhanging is listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list (with a stick/string, and plastic gift box), and appears in the brochure “Mat Sets by Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints”, c.1960; and is a pair with Patience Tree 251; see images.
