A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting a variety of edible mushrooms, herbs to pair with them, suggestions for cooking, and the tools for cooking them. This towel/wallhanging is from Country Prints’ “Motif Gourmet” collection, a decidedly design-forward line of modern compositions that veers away from Wert’s usual Americana themes. This print was available in orange or turquoise colorways; this example is in orange. This towel/wallhanging appears in the brochure “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”, c.1966; see images.
