Description

A Country Prints production sample retained as a print record. A four-color silkscreen print on natural linen depicting breads, wheat stalks, and the tools and implements for making bread. At bottom appears a line from the Lord’s Prayer: “Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread”, a recurrent theme in Wert’s work. Edges are straight stitched and fringed A matching tablecloth, placemat set, muffin cloth and apron were also produced; see images.
