A placemat with a two-color silkscreen print on heavy textured natural linen depicting smiling radiant suns, eight-pointed stars, and what appear to be stylized pears. The motifs are repeated in curvilinear columns at the right and left edges of the placemat. Suns are scattered through the central field.
This placemat set is described in two colorways on the Spring 1958 Country Prints price list, “Pink & Green or Red & Gold on heavy textured linen.”
