A pair of five-screen/seven-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen depicting the Governor’s Palace and the Capitol at Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia; see web link. The buildings are presented in perspective, surrounded by trees, shrubbery and topiaries. This may have been a custom commission for the shops at Colonial Williamsburg. This pair of prints is listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames, and appears in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”.
