Name/Title
Placemat, Napkin: Country Life 111, RedDescription
A two-color silkscreen print on natural linen. At left, a vertical field of red is punctuated by free-form polka-dots, each with a green dot inside. A scrolled line of green, similar to a calligraphic exercise, populates the lower margin. The asymmetrical composition allows for playful display depending on how the napkin is folded.
The calico print on the napkin matches the apron of the farmer’s wife on the placemat.
Edges are straight stitched and fringed.Made/Created
