A six-screen/seven-color silkscreen print on white linen depicting a woven wallhanging typical of early eighteenth century Norwegian woven carpets with colorful people and plant life against an orange ground. In the lower margin is the source, signature and title, “COMPOSITE NORWEGIAN RUG DESIGNS — EARLY 18 CENTURY, r. darr wert by hand” and “NORSK II”.
The print is glued to a black wood hanging bar at top and bottom, and a cord is attached for hanging. Edges are fringed.Made/Created
