Description

A three-color silkscreen underglaze print on a white tile blank depicting silhouettes of early-American kitchen implements superimposed with Wert’s interpretation of calico textile patterns. This tile was produced in at least two colorways, red and brown. This example is in brown. This tile appears in the c.1955 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Print Tiles”; see images. A matching placemat set and tablecloth were also produced; see images.
