Description

A tile with a silkscreen overglaze print on a glazed white tile blank featuring seashells, sea-life, a net and buoys. This tile appears in the brochures “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”, c.1963 and c.1966; see images. A matching wallhanging and apron were also produced; see images (an example of the apron has not been documented). These items were available singly and in matched gift sets.

Design, screen production, and mixing of colored overglazes performed at the Country Prints workshop, Gill, MA. Screen printing of overglaze colors, firing and finishing by Ceramo Studio, NYC. This design is printed on the thinner tile base used by Country Prints/Ceramo Studio from 1962 onward.
