Print: Kitchen (TK)Description
A six-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting wood-fired baking ovens, tools related to baking, and other kitchen tools, most hanging from a painted overhead beam. Tools are made of wrought iron, cast iron, and copper. The ovens are formed of red brick arches and the chimney mass is finished with a gray plaster or stucco. Carved wood springerle molds also hang from the overhead beam.
The staple marks in the corners of this mounted print indicate it was likely a Country Prints sales sample. This example has descended through the Wert family.
This print was also available as a Gift Greeting, Country Prints’ line of unmounted prints in cardstock note folders with envelopes for mailing or gift giving; see images.Made/Created
