Description

A three-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting a contemporary interpretation of Pennsylvania Dutch folk art motifs most likely taken from appliqué quilts. This placemat is listed on c.1949 and c.1951 Country Prints packing slips. It also appears in the journal Design in 1956; see images. The matching napkin has not been documented. Edges are straight stitched and fringed.
