A four-color silkscreen print on unbleached linen depicting a calico-clad angel holding aloft a tulip and heart. A bird sits within a the heart, and a hex sign stands in as the flower head on a long stem. The potholder edges are bound with green bias tape, which also forms a hanging loop.
This item is part of a matching suite of kitchen accessories that included a towel/wallhanging, apron, tile, coffee can cover and bottle cover; see images. These items were available individually and in matched gift sets.
First introduced in 1965 with a natural linen back, later examples were produced with a heat resistant back introduced c.1966.Made/Created
