Description

A pair of four-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen, one depicting a hen and the other a rooster. This pair of prints appears in the brochure “Country Prints in Frames”, c.1955. The rooster print is featured in a cover story about Robert Darr Wert and Country Prints in the journal Design, 1955; see images. This pair appears in a c.1955 Country Prints price list as Chickens 57-2 with the description, “Calico Rooster and Hen, Brown and Green with bold Red printed mat.”
