A silkscreen printed placemat set with two napkin options.
Placemat: A two-color silkscreen print on off-white linen or cotton crash. Repeated design elements comprised of three motifs within ovals: a strawberry, a four-lobed cross, and a sunburst. Motifs arranged asymmetrically on a field of navy blue, with sixteen vertical rows and nine horizontal rows.
Napkins for this placemat set were offered in two designs:
1. A three-color silkscreen print on fine-weave white linen or cotton crash depicting a couple in four different square dance positions. The woman wears a ruffled blouse and blue calico skirt. The man wears a red gingham shirt and blue jeans with a handkerchief tucked in the left back pocket. The napkin is bordered in a wavy blue line similar to rickrack.
2. An second napkin design matches the placemat print and was produced in three colorways: blue, green, and lavender; see images.
