Print: Remember the Miller 1012-4

Description

A seven-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting a miller and a red mill within a country village supporting the maxim, “Remember the miller when you eat your bread”. Wert explored this subject at least twice in the early 1950’s. This example is the earlier of the two. See images for the later example. This framed print appears in a c.1952 brochure for the Churchill Barn, owned by Stanley G. Churchill, Country Prints’ lead sales representative throughout the 1950’s; see images.
