Notecard, Matted Greetings: Harvest 350-12

Description

A Matted Greeting with a four-color silkscreen print on yellow linen depicting a sheath of wheat, farm tools, wildflowers and a bird illustrating the maxim from Poor Richard’s Almanac, “A harvest of peace - produced from a seed of contentment.” The print is framed with a dark blue cardstock mat and backed with single-ply cardboard. This Matted Greeting appears in the Spring 1958 Country Prints price list as part of a new product line. Seventeen 7” x 9” matted prints were initially produced and included envelopes for mailing or gift giving. They were also available framed in black or natural frames. This example is a sales sample used at trade shows, and is labeled, “#350-12 Harvest. Suggest natural frame.”
