A silkscreen print on linen depicting fruiting trees, a Pennsylvania “Dutch” couple, farm buildings, birds and the Japanese proverb, “In the hum of the market there is money but under the cherry tree there is rest”. The composition is finished with a printed border.
This print is listed on the January 1960 Country Prints price list in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames, and appears in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”; see images.
