First produced c.1956 and soon discontinued, this example bears the full cork backing adopted by Country Prints/Ceramo Studio c.1962, indicating it was reintroduced in the early 1960’s.
This tile appears in the c.1956 brochure “Country Prints Tiles designed by Robert Darr Wert”; see images.
This tile design is one of twelve panels found on a c.1953 Country Prints towel/wallhanging/runner titled, “Quilts” (see below), which is a graphic reinterpretation of Pennsylvania “Dutch” appliqué quilt squares.Made/Created
