Description

A three-screen/four-color silkscreen overglaze print on a white glazed tile blank depicting seven pots, each labeled with the name of an herb. Trailing vines border the left and lower margins. First produced c.1955, this example has been recolored and is printed on the thinner tile body used by Country Prints/Ceramo Studio from 1962 onward. A matching towel/wallhanging was also produced; see images. These items were available singly or in matched gift sets. This tile appears in the brochures “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”, c.1963 and c.1966, see images.
