Name/Title
Print: Early Birds 516-3Description
A silkscreen print on linen depicting various birds in Wert’s interpretation of Pennsylvania “Dutch” folk art. The assumed title, “Early Birds”, appears at center in a heart within a double-headed eagle. The title is a play on the idiom, “The early bird catches the worm”, but instead, Wert’s tongue-in-cheek title is referring to birds from early art.
This is one of the first nine framed prints offered by Country Prints. It was produced in a red painted pine frame.Made/Created
