Kitchen, Apron: Herb Chart U320 (Earlier Version)Description
An apron made of off-white linen with a four-color silkscreen print depicting herbs, kitchen tools and gardening tools.
At left, an herb plant grows from a wooden bucket on a wheelbarrow. The branches of the plant form the borders around a patch pocket trimmed in green bias tape. On the pocket is an image and text for the herb rosemary. Inside the pocket is a depiction of a tabbed index card with a description of basil. To the right and left of the wheelbarrow are gardening tools.
At right, an herb plant grows from a footed cast iron skillet. The branches of the plant form a border around depictions of tabbed index cards with descriptions of chives, dill and marjoram. To the right and left of the skillet are kitchen tools, including a pepper grinder and an oil & vinegar bottle.
The edges of the apron are finished with a continuous green bias tape. A matching dyed green cotton fabric forms the waist and ties. The apron body is gathered at the top and stitched to the green waist.
