Towel, Wallhanging: Sailing (TK)

Description

A Country Prints production sample retained as a print record. A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting four types of sailboats, two in elevation and two in perspective. The composition is bordered by a rope, connected with an anchor at the top center. Top edge is a rod pocket to accept a dowel for hanging, bottom edge is hemmed, sides are selvedges. This towel/wallhanging appears on a c.1965 promotional postcard for Bromley & Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, Country Prints’ New England wholesale representative to the gift trade.
