A two-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting silhouettes of eight early American cast iron trivets and gridirons, finished with a red border. This print is one of the first nine framed prints offered by Country Prints. This print appears in a February 1954 Woman’s Day article about Robert Darr Wert and the “Silk-Screen Method”; see images.

Inscription/Signature/Marks

“ROBERT DARR WERT” in black capitalized block print, lower right corner. Back: upper left corner handwritten in pencil, “AiT/3.80/1.90”, likely a retailer’s lettered wholesale code, a retail price, and a sale price; and in the upper right corner, a rubber stamp of “516-1 BLK” indicating the item number and frame color.
