Description

A four-color silkscreen overglaze print on a glazed white tile blank depicting a well equipped early American kitchen hearth. This tile design was produced in at least two colorways; see separate entries. A matching towel/wallhanging was also produced. These items were available singly or in matched gifts sets. A matching calendar towel was also available; see images.

Design, screen production, and mixing of colored overglazes performed at the Country Prints workshop, Gill, MA. Screen printing of overglaze colors, firing and finishing by Ceramo Studio, NYC. This design is printed on the thinner tile body used by Country Prints/Ceramo Studio from 1962 onward.
