Gift Greeting: Daily BreadDescription
A five-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting over a dozen types of baked goods displayed on cutting boards and in cast iron cookware. A bunch of wheat stalks and a sickle hint at bread’s origins. A peel hangs to the right, an indispensable tool in the bread baking process. “OUR DAILY BREAD” is emblazoned on the side of a blue painted wood box.
This is a Country Prints Gift Greeting, unmounted prints that were available in cardstock note folders with envelopes for mailing or gift giving; see images for folio.
This print appears in the c.1955 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Print Gift Greetings”; see images.
This Gift Greeting was also produced as a framed print. A matching tablecloth, table runner, placemat set, muffin cloth and tile were also produced; see images.Made/Created
