Description

Four three-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen depicting fanciful topiaries clad in calico prints and bordered by leaves. These cocktail napkins appear in the c.1955 brochure “I-Did-It-Myself Aprons by Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints”, and is described in a c.1955 price list, “317 Topiary Whimsy or the Gardener’s Lark — Home gardening was never like this nor convivial reparte more gaily engendered! Christmas Red and Green or New Year’s Pink and Bluegreen…4 designs, set of 8, two of each.” Edges are straight stitched and fringed.
