Clock: GE Model 2520

Description

A square electric clock with a silkscreen printed border on masonite depicting the leaves of ten different tree species. This clock was produced by the General Electric (GE) Clocks division, c.1962-65. This clock frame was used by GE with at least three other border and clock face designs by designers other than Wert. One non-Wert design can be seen in the “GE Wholesale Gift Catalog/Holiday Season ‘63”; see images.

Wert/Country Prints most likely produced the silkscreened Masonite border panel. The clock works were likely produced by GE Telechron in Ashland, MA. (see adhesive label detail and Telechron web link). The clock frame may have been produced in GE’s factories in Bridgeport CT.
