Description

A placemat set with a five or six-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting items of cast iron, copper, painted tin, and glass found in a well equipped early American kitchen. Edges are straight stitched and fringed. This set is described in a c.1955 Country Prints price list, “Wood, Glass, Iron, Tin and Herb motifs in Brick Red, Bottle Green, Black and Brown. Runner to match — see #216 — white linen.” A matching framed print was also produced; see images.
