Name/Title

Kitchen, Apron: Red Lobster (TK)

Description

A Country Prints production sample retained by the company as a print record. An apron with a two-color silkscreen print depicting a lobster, lobster traps, a fishing shack, and seagulls. The artwork for this apron and its matching towel/wallhanging and tile was developed for Country Prints by Massachusetts artist Al Winant in the early 1960’s. His last name appears on the apron (lower right corner, on dock plank), and the matching towel/wallhanging. This is a rare example of Wert hiring another artist for the Country Prints product line during his lifetime.
