Description

A Country Prints production sample retained as a print record. A runner with a three-color silkscreen print on white linen depicting fourteen motifs found on salt glazed stoneware. The runner is bordered in a continuous scrolled line. Within the border is the text, “some collected designs from early handmade crocks and jugs of salt glazed stoneware.” This print is listed on a c.1951 Country Prints packing slip, and appears in a photo in the Springfield Sunday Republican in January, 1952. Left and right edges are hemmed. Top and bottom edges are selvedges.
