Description

A two-color silkscreen underglaze print on a white ceramic tile blank depicting Wert’s interpretation of early American symbols of abundance and welcome: a sheaf of wheat, a pomegranate, a pineapple and a heart. This tile appears in the brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints Tiles”, c.1960; see images. This tile design was produced in two colorways: blue and red. This example is in blue; see images.
