Description

A five-color silkscreen print on white linen depicting the first day of Christmas from the traditional Christmas carol The Twelve Days of Christmas. Imagery includes a man in medieval dress pushing a wheelbarrow containing a pear tree with a partridge. This is one of a series of Gift Greetings based on a c.1955 towel/wallhanging/runner titled Christmas Songs 221, though The Twelve Days of Christmas is not represented on that print. Gift Greetings are Country Prints line of unmounted prints produced with cardstock note folders and envelopes for mailing or gift giving. This example is a sales sample used by Country Prints.
