A Country Prints “Country Store” tile gift box designed to hold an individual 6” x 6” tile. Box lid is printed in pink and black on brown cardboard. Design features a rooster weathervane, a radiant sun, a pointing hand and a butter churn, all backed with vertical rows of stripes and hearts.
The tile box was designed to match two other “Country Store” gift boxes (towel and tile gift set, and a placemat box) as well as the c.1963 brochure “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”; see images.
An alternate version of this box was also produced for Ceramo Studio, with “Country Print Tile” replaced with “Ceramo Studio Tile” within the butterchurn; see images.Made/Created
