A four-color silkscreen print on natural linen glued within a dye cut Strathmore notecard in orange. The imagery depicts a haloed angel playing an early stringed instrument while singing and hovering above two sheep and a bird. A partial line from the traditional Christmas song “Joy to the World” is central to the composition, “heaven and nature sing”.
This Christmas Greeting appears in the brochures “Fall and Christmas 1965, Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints”, and “Country Prints by Robert Darr Wert and Neighbors”, c.1966; see images.
