Placemat, Plasticote Mats: Dolls 514, Placemat and Bib SetDescription
A five-color silkscreen printed children’s placemat and bib set. The placemat is printed on white clay coated cardboard which was laminated for easy cleanup (this example is not laminated). The bib is printed on white linen with a pink border. Imagery is a reimagining of German painted wood toys. This “Dolls” set was intended for girls. A “Hobby Horse” set was produced for boys.
This set is listed in the 1960 “Country Prints for Christmas” price list.
Matching wallhangings, tiles, and Gift Greetings were also produced.Made/Created
