A pair of silkscreen prints on linen placemats and napkins depicting hens and roosters superimposed with Wert’s interpretations of calico prints.
Chicken Patch 114 is a c.1953 design that was reintroduced to the Country Prints product line c.1959 as a placemat set and laminated Plasticote Mats.
This placemat set is listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list in two colorways (mustard or brown), and appears in the c.1960 brochure “Mat Sets by Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints”.
