Description

A pair of four-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen depicting examples of two early locomotive train engines, one shown with a caboose, the other with a tender (coal car). The compositions are finished with printed borders. These prints are listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list, and appear in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”. Prints were produced in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames. This pair was also produced as Wall Boards (Early Locomotives 703) in the same brochure; see “Wall Boards” entries.
