Name/Title
Towel, Calendar: Four Seasons 510, 1966Description
A four-screen/five-color print on off-white linen featuring a paraphrasing of the King James Bible passage Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To everything there is a season, a time to be born— a time to plant, a time to harvest”. Scenes of work and play complete the composition. Empty days on the calendar are replaced with seasonal messages. For instance, January’s empty days say, “RESOLVED: SEED CATALOGS”, and December’s, “GLAD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY”. This example retains its Country Prints Calendar Towel box; see images.
This calendar towel appears on a 1966 price list, and in brochures for the 1967 and 1968 calendar years, after which it was discontinued.Made/Created
