Description

A four-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting signs of the new day: a smiling sun, a rooster weathervane greeting the sun, a weather forecast of “Fair & Warmer”, and the expression, “Have a good day!”. This toaster cover is part of Country Prints’ Motif Gourmet collection, a decidedly design-forward product line that veers away from Wert’s usual Americana themes. The toaster cover was offered in turquoise and orange colorways. This example is in orange. This item was part of a matching line of kitchen accessories that included a towel/wallhanging, oven mitt, bottle cover, toaster cover, and coffee can covers; see images. Seams and edges are finished with an orange bias tape chosen to match one of the colors in the print.
