Description

A four-color silkscreen overglaze print on a gloss glazed white tile blank depicting imagery inspired by a Pennsylvania “Dutch” appliqué quilt square. The square is taken from a Country Prints towel/wallhanging titled Quilt 2000. This unsigned design lacks the rigor, quality and color sensitivity of Wert’s artwork and was likely produced for Country Prints by a freelance artist after his death in January 1966.
