Name/Title

Print: Wood Ware (TK), Blue

Description

A five-color silkscreen print on natural linen depicting thirty-three forms of early American woodware, from Shaker boxes to spoons to rolling pins and a butter churn. The composition is bordered with Wert’s interpretation of a calico print pattern of five-pointed stars within circles and small crosses in navy on a field of cornflower blue. This print was produced in at least two colorways, blue and brown. This example is in blue; see images. This example is a sales sample from Country Prints’ independent west coast sales representative Ruth Gauss Flynn.
